“Breaking the Sound Barrier”

Today's Text: John 11:41-45

I. Love Language is: Words of Affirmation.
How can the power of words determine the destinies of people and even nations? Proverbs 18:21 Proverbs 12:25
How do words bind us and free us and shape our views of others and ourselves?
What are some of the things, which make it difficult to for us to verbally express our love for others?
What do you think can be done to overcome these difficulties?

II. Love Language is: Quality Time.
Discuss some of the things that keep us from having quality time with our family and friends?
Do you think quality time requires a great expenditure of time?
Discuss the value of creating activities which can be shared and enjoyed by others.

III. Love Language is: Receiving Gifts.
Are you uncomfortable receiving gifts from others?
What is it that makes you have that feeling?
How do gifts express love and why are they of value?
How important is the gift of self?

IV. Love Language is: Acts of Service.
Can you can find real fulfillment and happiness serving others?
Discuss the lesson in John 13:3-17.
Why is this lesson something Christians should know and practice?

V. Love Language is: Physical Touch.
How important is physical touch in a healthy relationship?
Why is this type affection so lacking in our society?
How do moods, attitudes, and perceptions all affect whether we are accepting of physical touch?
